About this course
Shadow work is the practice of getting to know the parts of yourself you learned to hide: the anger you were told not to show, the needs you stopped naming, and the gifts you were afraid to claim. The idea comes from Carl Jung, who saw the shadow not as something evil but as everything the conscious self doesn't yet recognize as its own.
This eight-lesson course turns that idea into a practical journaling path. You'll build a safe container for inner work, learn to read your strongest reactions as mirrors, trace your shadow back to family and cultural rules, and try a written form of Jung's active imagination to hear directly from hidden parts.
You'll also explore the golden shadow, the strengths you disowned, and bring what you discover into your relationships. The course ends with a clear integration plan so the work keeps unfolding in everyday life.
Shadow work is a self-reflection practice, not therapy. It can sit alongside care from a licensed therapist, and that support is wise if difficult memories surface.
Who it's for
- Anyone curious about shadow work who wants a grounded, practical starting point
- People who keep repeating the same reactions or relationship patterns
- Journalers ready to go deeper than gratitude lists and daily logs
- Those who suspect they've hidden strengths as well as struggles
